Name
Redwood Burl Strat
This is a new/old stock Boogie Bodies made by Lynn Ellsworth and Patrick Coleman. The top cap is about 1/4" thick and is a stunning piece of book-matched Redwood burl that Lynn had procured during his lifetime. Lynn had a keen eye for exotic tonewoods and it is evident on the top and bottom caps on this build. The bottom cap is made from rare quilted and book matched Redwood. The control plate is also Redwood Burl.
The center piece is Red Fir and it is chambered for weight reduction and resonance. The matte finish is nitro lacquer. The body contour has an ergonomic heel for easy access to higher frets and it is more comfortable to play.
The 22-fret neck and fingerboard are made of Wenge and have a 12" radius and a thick "D" profile. The fret markers are made of Abalone. The headstock has our "Lynn Ellsworth" logo etched in it with gold pigment inlay. This is the only one we've made with the gold epoxy.
The bridge is a hardtail. The dual humbuckers are made by Gibson. The Kaish locking tuners add tuning stability. All hardware is gold plated. Total weight is 6 pounds 11.6 ounces.
Comes with a hard shell case and a certificate of authenticity that is embossed and has a digital copy of Lynn Ellsworth's signature.
