“Alder” Ego

Boogie Body Strat

This Boogie Body double cutaway guitar was made by Lynn Ellsworth (circa 1980-2012), and restored by Patrick Coleman in 2025. The body is made of 2 pieces of matching Alder wood for tone. The cap is 1/4" thick and is a stunning piece of book-matched Tiger Maple. The control plate is made of Maple Burl and matches the Maple Burl veneer cap on the headstock.

The base of this neck is flamed Maple that has darkened nicely with age. The fingerboard is made of Rosewood and it has a 12" radius, a modern "C" profile, 22 frets with 80% fret remaining and Lynn's signature Target style fret markers on the side. The headstock has the "Boogie Bodies" script logo on it.

The vintage Boogie Body bridge is made of solid brass and it is a hardtail, string-through body style. The humbuckers are both splittable but not sure of the manufacturer and they sound great. The gold plated neck plate is engraved "Boogie Bodies."

The gold tuners are made by Gotoh for added tuning stability. All hardware is vintage Boogie Bodies brass or gold plated. The total weight is 8 pounds 3.7 ounces.

Comes with a hard shell case and a certificate of authenticity that is embossed and has a digital copy of Lynn Ellsworth's signature.
